On Thursday 6 November I’klectik art lab and creative space are opening an exhibition to fundraise for peacebuilding in Israel and Palestine.
The aim is to sell 100 donated paintings for £100 each, potentially raising £10,000. Through partnering with Peace Direct, the exhibition will raise money for the work of Heartbeat, an organisation that has been shortlisted for our Tomorrow’s Peacebuuilders prize this year.
Heartbeat works with young Palestinians and Israelis in Haifa, Jerusalem, and Jaffa-Tel Aviv to build sustainable peace. Through music they bring them together to speak about their daily lives and the conflict that surrounds them which builds awareness, respect and trust between each other. This breaks down the divides that have existed for generations and builds new ways to interact and live as an equal, united, peaceful society.
Are you an artist? Would you like to get involved? Could you donate a piece of work to the exhibition?
