The Russian military vehicles seen in Tbilisi pose no danger to Georgia,
the Head of the Department of Public Relations of the Georgian Interior
Ministry Nino Giorgobiani said.
She went on
to add that the Interior Ministry has complete information in this regard.
The
appearance of photos of the column of Russian military vehicles on Rustaveli Avenue
in Tbilisi on the social networks of Georgia caused great alarm. Concerned
users of social networks wrote that a column of Russian military vehicles with
transit numbers were allegedly headed for the Russian military base in Gyumri
in Armenia.
“The social
networks spread photos of trucks with Russian transit numbers,” said
Giorgobiani. “The Interior Ministry has full information on these trucks. They
have no military purpose and pose no threat to Georgia and neighboring
countries. The trucks were purchased by a private person in the Russian
Federation. They have been assigned with transit numbers, which prohibit
traveling to a third country. The owner of these vehicles has been identified.
The vehicles are in Tbilisi for sale of spare parts.”
Meanwhile,
one of the leaders of the ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili's United National
Movement Party Givi Targamadze said that these vehicles can be used for
wiretapping of embassies and diplomatic missions of member countries and
partners of NATO, which are located in Tbilisi.
“These are
specialized vehicles of communication that are intended namely for this
purpose,” he said.
This is really a nice and informative, containing all information and also has a great impact on the new technology. Thanks for sharing it,
